Between 6-8 April, thousands of pop culture aficionados will descend en masse upon the Dubai World Trade Centre to get their fill of a veritable cornucopia of nerdy delights.

The Middle East Film & Comic Con is back, and we’ve put together the ultimate vade mecum to help ensure you miss none of the action.

Over the next few days we’ll be giving you our recommendations of what to check out over the whole geektastic weekend.

James C Mulligan

Recently named one of Disney’s top-selling artists, James C Mulligan’s work is lauded by the likes of everyone from Brad Pitt to Dick Van Dyke. He’ll be on hand to meet and greet fans, as well as sign his work from some of the most famous characters from the ‘House of Mouse’.

Jason Shiga

‘Indie darling’ Jason Shiga’s work Meanwhile and the recently wrapped up web-comic Demon are lauded for their unconventional narrative techniques, incorporating puzzles and mysteries into is stories.

Livio Ramondelli

Known for his stunning depictions of properties such as Transformers, Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica, Livio Ramondelli is one of the preeminent pencillers working on bringing big-name franchises to the four-colour page.

Yishan Li

Yishan Li’s unique style strikes the perfect crossover between Manage and American-style comic books, and has led her work to be published internationally including by Dark Horse and DC comics.
