Computex is one of the hottest events on the tech calendar when it comes to gaming hardware.

And it looks like this year has upped the ante with gaming gurus MSI announcing a slew of new laptops at an event held yesterday in Taipei.

Let’s take a look at what was on offer…

MSI GE63VR/GE73VR Raider

The biggest news was the announcement of the company’s impressive new Raider series.

Taking design cues from exotic sports cars, they come in 15in or 17in models and are packed with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card for high-end gaming.

There’s more to there screens than just size as each machine has a 120Hz HDR-compatible panel, and we love the RGB-backlit keyboard that is fully colour customisable, right down to the individual key.

MSI GT75VR Titan

MSI’s Titan line is their hardest-of-hardcore, money-no-object machines and they’ve got a tasty upgrade this year.

Available in one of three possible graphics configurations – a single GeForce GTX 1080, dual GeForce GTX 1070 cards in SLI, or a single GeForce GTX 1070 – this beast of a machine boasts the latest Intel Core i7-7820HK processor and can handle anything you throw at it.

Its trademark mechanical keyboard is also getting a neat customisable RGB lighting upgrade similar to the Raider, so you can bask your fingers in an array of neon colours.

MSI GS63VR/GS73VR Stealth Pro

This is MSI’s ‘slim’ line, coming in at 17.7mm thin and weighing only 1.9kg. That’s actually pretty impressive considering the tech that’s contained in this relatively svelte powerhouse.

It includes a 15in display with a 120Hz refresh rate powered by an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 so there’s no compromise on gaming grunt.

It’s also getting some of the same sweet HDR compatibility that’s in the Raider and ESS Sabre HiFi Audio tech.

Pricing and availability have yet to be announced on any of these machines, but we should expect to see them hit the Middle East before the year is out. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know more.
