Nokia Lumia 920 – City Lens [Nokia Blog]

Posted December 20, 2012 by Stuff Staff in News

Augmented reality – in a nutshell – is a bit like Terminator vision. AR uses the Lumia‘s camera, accelerometer and GPS connections to figure out where you are, and what you’re doing.

Unlike maps, which are helpful for navigating your way around, City Lens helps you explore what’s around you. Everything from landmarks and restaurants, hotels and public transport can be seen instantly on your phone. You can filter results too, so if you’re after a restaurant to eat in, for example, City Lens can just show you what eateries are nearby. Then, using the power of Nokia Maps, give your reviews, description and destination information, too.
