Huawei Ascend W1 mockup

Hot on the heels of the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 launch, and the unveiling of HTC‘s Windows Phone 8X and Windows Phone 8S handsets, details of the Huawei’s upcoming Windows Phone 8 handset, the Ascend W1, have slipped out.

The Huawei W8 will ship between November and December, according to Chinese site Winp, and will be available in black, blue, pink and white – though word on specs has yet to be revealed. Or, indeed, whether it’ll resemble our mockup above.

The Huawei Ascend  P1 Android phone packs a 4.3in, 256ppi Super AMOLED screen, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and an 8MP camera, so we’d expect to see the Ascend W1 at least equal those specs.

A launch date of September 25th is rumoured, with the Ascend W1 expected to cost around 2000RMB.
