FIFA 13’s Kinect features mean no more swearing at the referee

We heard a little about FIFA 13’s Kinect features last month at E3, but now we can see them in action. A new trailer from EA Sports demonstrates how you can use voice commands to make substitutions, change tactics and, in Be A Pro mode, give your AI-controlled teammates instructions.

It doesn’t end there though: in a novel twist, the voice recognition will react to swearing at the ref. Berate an official’s decision using foul language and the commentators will note your reaction – you won’t be carded, but it can affect referee strictness.

FIFA 13 will be on sale on September 28th.
