Windows Phone 8 release date potentially revealed

Microsoft‘s latest Windows Phone 8 operating system will be in our hands as early as October, according to a source at ZDNet. While it dashes hopes of a simultaneous Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 launch, it does mean we should start seeing WinPho 8 mobiles early November.

However, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop has told the New York Times that Windows Phone 8 software would be released in October – which could suggest that Nokia Windows Phone 8 devices will get a month’s head start with the OS before it’s released to other devices in November.

Stay tuned for more info as and when we get our gadget-laden mitts on it.
