New Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 trailer introduces the villain
The latest Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 trailer is up online for FPS-fans to drool over, and this one gives us an idea which baddy we’ll be battling with our near-future weaponry. And with David S Goyer – who also had a hand in writing for The Dark Knight Rises – telling the story, it looks set to match a pretty decent plot with plenty of hover planes and big explosions.
Spoiler alert. Look away now if you don’t want to know anything. The game will feature two storylines, one set in 1980 and the other in 2025. The 1980 plot follows Alex Mason, from the first game, fighting in the proxy battles of the Cold War for the US. A rising power, hacker Raul Menendez, appears sporadically. The 2025 story features his son David Mason caught up in a new cold war between China and America – a conflict that’s being fuelled and controlled by an older, more dangerous, Raul Menendez.
With plenty of cyberwarfare, unmanned vehicles and futuristic robots we’re excited about the latest Call of Duty effort from Treyarch – especially as it’s confirmed that the Zombies mode will be back, this time with its own single player campaign. Enjoy the trailer.
