Giant Lego forest in Australian outback makes us feel tiny

Residents of Broken Hill in New South Wales Australia have found their town festooned with four-metre high Lego trees – and equally gigantic Lego flowers – courtesy of Lego’s celebration of its 50th year down under.

We’d love nothing more than to pack our bags and head half way across the world for a surrealist wander but sadly ogling these images is as close as we’re going to get for the time being.

Just last week, Lego introduced its free online 3D Lego model builder as part of its Australian celebrations and we’re hoping the legendary toy company has more tricks up its sleeve as the festivities continue. We’re thinking a full-size, working Lego Batmobile would be good. Hint, hint.
