iPhone 5 to boast a bigger, more eye-popping 3.9in screen
The next iPhone could sport a 3.9-inch Retina Display with a resolution of 1136 x 640.
9to5 Mac claims to have been told that Apple is testing multiple prototypes of the next generation iPhone, at least two of which feature this new, larger screen. The iPhone 4S has a 3.5-inch 960 x 640 display, so the prototype stretches it a little (the width stays the same, the length increases by half an inch) but keeps the same Retina Display pixel density.
9to5 Mac has also heard that Apple intends to use the extra space for a fifth row of home screen icons, and that the new models retain the home button but a new, smaller dock connector.
Reckon this info is legit? Think Apple is doing the smart thing by not making the entire phone bigger in order to accommodate a much larger screen? Let us know below.
