The 13.3in Samsung Series 9, an update of last year’s model, was first seen at CES. Now Samsung has said this ultra-slim beauty will be landing in the region next month.

The Ultrabook boasts a nine-second boot time, a 128GB SSD and 10 hours of battery life. Weighing in at just 1.16kg, the Series 9 is powered by Intel’s Core i5 processor and HD Graphics 3000, and packs 4GB of RAM. Fans of sleek tech will also love the sand-blasted aluminium unibody that protects the laptop’s HD+ SuperBright Plus display.

During the CES launch Samsung confirmed a US$1400 price tag – no word on whether that will change when it lands on these sandy shores.
