Apple iPhone 5 release date moved to October?

Apple’s iPhone 5 could follow in the footsteps of the iPhone 4S with an October 2012 release date, according to Japanese website Macotakara.
The information comes from the site’s ‘reliable source’ which naturally means that we’re taking the report with a healthy does of skepticism and more than a pinch of sodium chloride.
If true, it would suggest Apple has opted to ditch its previous June iPhone release schedule for good, much to the relief of iPhone 4S owners who have only just settled in with their shiny new phones.
According to previous rumours, the Apple iPhone 5 is tipped to arrive sporting a quad-core A6 processor with a 4in retina display as well as iWallet NFC capability.
