Samsung to launch a 10.1in Galaxy Note at MWC

Samsung’s developer day invitation for Mobile World Congress has leaked the existence of a Galaxy Note 10.1, suggesting that the Korean tech giant has a stylus-friendly tablet with a 10.1in screen ready to rear its head at MWC in Barcelona.

A casting call listing dug up by The Verge for a Galaxy Note 10.1 advert shows an early February shoot, which would fit in with a reveal at MWC in less than two weeks’ time.

We doubt that this 10.1 inch slate will double up as a phone, and instead expect to see a tablet with the same pressure sensitive Wacom digitiser screen and S Pen technology found in the 5.3in Samsung Galaxy Note.

It’s too early to say whether or not the Galaxy Note 10.1 will replace Sammy’s existing 10.1in Galaxy Tab (although that would handily deal with Apple’s patent claims against it), but failing that it could be sold as an alternative slate with a premium price tag for the stylus functionality.

Although no specs have been released we’ll be sure to update you on Samsung’s mysterious 10-incher as and when we get more info. In the meantime, check out the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Note S for details on another stylus-toting blower set to debut in Barcelona.
