RIP: Kodak digital cameras are no more

rip kodak digital cameras

It’s no secret that times are tough – which is why the father of the hand-held camera, Kodak, has announced that it will no longer be producing compact cameras, digital picture frames or camcorders after the first half of this year, Reuters reports.

After Kodak filed for bankruptcy last month, we can’t say that the news is too much of a surprise, but it’s always sad to see one of the greats brought low in hard times. Still, Kodak will continue to exist, focusing on its printers, brand licensing and photo labs while honouring the warranties on its existing products.
