Intel offers CPU overclocking insurance

There exists no greater pleasure in the world of PC gaming than running Skyrim at higher-than-ultra settings, and you’ll probably need to overclock your CPU to achieve such an eye-watering feat.

Intel hopes to cash in on this potentially risky practice by offering CPU insurance for US$20-US$35, with the promise of a brand new replacement CPU should anything melt/explode/start smoking.

The warranty won’t cover any accidental damage from the likes of water spills, devious cats, or any damage to your motherboard, but if you still fancy a little piece of mind then head on over to Intel where you can cover your rig from any nasty meltdowns.
