BlackBerry BBM music service landing in September?

Posted August 21, 2011 by Stuff Staff in News

It’s all change for Blackberry as not only do we have new Torch and Bold models to admire but RIM has also been chatting up big record labels to score support for a BlackBerry Messenger music service. There’s been no official word from RIM just yet but those detectives over at CNET have plenty of tipsters who reckon we’ll see a BBM music flavoured announcement in the first week of September.

We’re hearing on the Blackberry-vine that a test version of the service might be rolled out in the next few weeks as RIM has signed a deal with at least one of the big four record companies – Universal, Sony, Warner and EMI. More details to follow as soon as BBM makes an official appearance at the mobile music service party.
