First Android Ice Cream Sandwich pics say hello

Summer’s as good a time for an ice cream sandwich as any, and Android Police has wasted no time in getting down to the local mobile OS truck to pick us all up the first shots of Google’s forthcoming Android version.

Ice Cream Sandwich is seen running on a Nexus S (the phone of choice for Android devs) and gives away a number of new UI tweaks, including quite a bit of blueness and overhauled notification strap.

There’s a new launcher and app drawer, a panoramic camera mode and native Gmail UI reskin. That’s about all we know for now, but having crept out into the open, don’t think we won’t see more delicious Ice Cream Sandwich news in the near future. There’s a queue forming at the truck already…
