Asus PadFone gives your phone a tablet dock

Posted May 31, 2011 by Stuff Staff in News
Asus has just unleashed a new multi-purpose gadget, that of the smartphone/tablet variety. Aptly-named the PadFone, this portable hybrid lets you slip your mobile into the back of a specially designed slate, transforming it from bog-standard blower to full-blown Android tablet. The PadFone‘s smartphone bit comes in at 4.3in, and that’s about all we know at the moment (Asus is keeping schtum on specs, but said that when it is released later this year, it will come running Android Ice Cream Sandwich). That means the 10.1in slate will also back Ice Cream Sandwich, naturally.
