iPhone 5 to launch early June with slimmer body and NFC
The iPhone 5 is slated to launch on June 5, that is if Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) has indeed been confirmed for the first week in June.
This all comes from AppleBitch, who have been staking out the Moscone Centre, the conference centre where Apple holds all its WWDCs. It’s found that from 5-9 of June, the centre is booked for a ‘corporate meeting’. According to the site, the phrase has been used as code by Apple in previous years of developer conferences.
This goes along with previous leaks, suggesting that the iPhone 5 will be unveiled on the first day of a developer shindig, June 5.
The new iPhone is slated to pack a slimmer, leaner design, ditching the aerial problems of the iPhone 4. It’s also rumoured to have Near Field Communication tech built-in.
We’ll be there, when Apple sends us the invitation, that is, so stay tuned for more juice iPhone 5 info.
