Google Chrome OS netbooks landing tomorrow
We’ve known about Google’s own-brand Chrome OS for a while now, but we didn’t know when the web-only operating system would land on our netbook and laptops. That seems to have changed, with Engadget reporting the new OS could land on Google-branded laptops tomorrow morning.
Google products are nothing new (check out the Nexus One and Nexus S here) and its rumoured that Chrome OS will debut on similarly-branded Google netbooks tomorrow, at an event. Previously, we were told that beta versions of the OS would go to developers before the end of the year, with a public release of early next year.
Will tomorrow see the launch of the big G’s Linux-based OS? Or Google’s uses web-based apps with cloud storage? Looks like we’ll find out tomorrow.
Updates as they come.
