Angry Birds playable on Xbox Live, PSN and WiiWare
Members of the Angry Birds development team annouced at the Social Gaming Summit in London last week, that Xbox, PlayStation and Wii-players would no longer have to spring for an iPhone to get to grips with the popular game. It will be appearing on each console’s online gaming portal of choice, very soon.
The price and exact release date are still unknown.
Currently, Angry Birds is only avaialble for iOS, Android and Symbian mobiles, but has quickly become one of the most successful apps ever. There are rumours that the game is in talks to do its own hollywook flick, as well as a range of plush, fluffy toys (no doubt released in tandem).
The game sees you slingshot birds (who are angry) at green pigs (who stole the birds eggs and made them angry in the first place), but there are rumours that Rovio might take the story even further, and give you a pig’s-side-story in an upcoming sequal.
We can’t wait.
