Samsung Google Nexus S: pics and specs
It’s the second Google phone to sport the Nexus moniker, but this Android-running smartphone is built by Samsung, not HTC. Still, it’s a beauty, rocking a 5MP camera, Gingerbread and a pretty decent screen.
The big G killed off the first Nexus One, and said it wouldn’t be going down the hardware path again. But something seems to have changed at Google HQ, with the much-rumoured Samsung Google Nexus S finally appearing online.
As the saying goes, you’re not a gadget worth owning unless there are leaked shots of you on the internet, and this Sammy Nexus S looks good indeed. Its proper name, GT-i9020, has been mentioned in future inventory lists in big retailers, and T-Mobile is touted as the carrier of choice in the states.
The boys at Engadget got their mits on these snaps, which show hardware wise the Nexus S will sport a 5MP camera, 7.2Mbps HSPA connection and GSM, meaning it should make an appearance here in the UAE.
It will run Gingerbread, we assume, and reckon the announcement for Samsung‘s Nexus S will land at the same time the search-giant unveils the latest version for Android. More on this as it happens.
