Apple iPad 2 will launch next March, pack FaceTime
The iPad will be the next Apple touchscreen, after the iPhone 4 and new iPod Touch, to come packed with FaceTime.
The next version of the Apple slate is set to launch by next spring, and will sport new front and rear-facing cams capable of video calls via FaceTime. These rumours come from Apple’s Asian suppliers, component vendors who are currently going over stock with the mega-corp. It seems, the display aspects of the new ‘Pad are being designed around space for this front-facing camera.
All reports suggest that the next iPad will be of the same 9.7in proportions of the original (bummer for small-pad lovers) and will stick to the annual product cycles that Apple likes to run by (iPods in September, iPhones in June, iPads in February, etc.).
For now these are just rumours floating around from Apple factories in China, but FaceTime does seem like the logical addition to the iPad.
Do you agree? Tell us what else you would imrove on the Apple Tablet below.
