Fake iPads for just US$125

We get none of the luck over here in the Middle East. While our American, European and Asian cousins have been enjoying the iPad (officially) for months now, the Apple tablet has yet to land in the region.

China has a similar problem, but unlike us, has a plethora of cheap and cheerful fake iPads to get them through the Apple draught.

Spotted on the streets of Beijing, these Android-running fakes cost between US$125 and US$200. While they look similar to the iPad, they are total fakes with varying screen sizes, unresponsive menu systems and shoddy manufacturing. But hey, at least it’s something.

All we get  is mega-expensive real ones.
